  Review: My pastor recommended this book on Apostle Paul. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Charles Swindoll makes the life and ministry of Paul come alive. He leads us to examine and work on our own lives. Swindoll’s style is easy reading but brings us closer to who and what Paul was. Swindoll’s presentation on the life of Apostle Paul is refreshing and enlightening.

  Review: As a new Christian, it’s the story of Paul that ended up being the keystone connecting all the dots for me. I started searching for more information on this man, this apostle, and when I found A Man of Grit and Grace, I had no idea what to expect. Charles Swindoll provided some incredible insight, sticking to only what history knows as fact about Paul, and intertwining the story of his life, from rabid persecutor of Christ’s earlier followers to devoted bondservant of the Lord. I appreciate this book, which came to me at just the right time. All by God’s Grace.

  Review: What a life! Jesus was without sin, God with us for a short period in a fairly compact area. Paul was an actual earthly being, sinful, converted from one extreme to another. Paul took the word, amplified it, shared it, interpreted it and help start the spread of it to all the nations. There is no comparison in the Missionary field other than Christ and the Holy Spirit. Well done faithful servant!

  Review: This is not your typical biography. If you are looking for a straight forward recounting of Paul’s life, read The Apostle by John Pollock, which is quoted several times in this book.This book not only follows Paul’s life, it also provides application from his life. The author uses Paul’s life as shown through Scripture to provide timeless truths for our lives. I wish I could have heard the sermons, because this is how God intended His Word to be taught. Since I couldn’t, I feel blessed that I could receive this teaching in book form. I hope that you are similarly blessed when you read this book.
