But your examples are all money-rich people — Mark Cuban, Warren Buffet, Elon Musk. Why didn’t you profile any of these other people you keep mentioning who are “rich” in their minds and lives, but not in their wallets?
Honestly, this article made me super sad for our country — you’re obviously not an idiot or an asshole, but you’ve bought into the Corpocracy BS that passes for deep thinking these days.
Pinterest? Really?
Here’s a thought, Cole — maybe idealizing people with “roadmaps to success” is part of the problem. How about an essay about the simple man, leading the simple life, reading a lot, thinking a lot, but not money rich. He’s probably dying of prostate cancer as we speak because he can’t afford the healthcare bills or to take time off of his job that he can’t quit even though he’s at retirement age. I guess you’d say he should have had a plan? A “roadmap to success”?
You write: If you want to be rich, don’t say ‘I want to be rich’ .If you want to be rich, set a specific number that you want to hit, and then map out how you are going to get there.
Here’s a number I want to hit, Cole. Zero Medium posts from the likes of you showing up on my Google homepage unasked for and telling me why I have a “poor” way of being.
What a foolish article.
