I think what you may not understand is this song is actually meant for those of us who have had to fight to get this far — that very firm underpinning of Hillary support, women over the age of 40.

Those of us who remember when the only form of birth control was condoms, and they were only available by prescription. Who remember when a perspective boss told us we couldn’t be lifeguards because we got our period every month and couldn’t get into the pool.

Or as single women, were told by our boss that we were not going to get paid as much as the men that were doing the same job as us, because we didn’t have to worry about feeding a family.

And yes, all of these examples are real, because they happened to me. So hell yeah — this IS my fight song, and HRC is my candidate.
