In migrating to its new “Document Cloud”, Adobe has removed explicit links to new EchoSign Free accounts, although it has grandfathered in the old millions of Free users.

But you can still get a free account. It’s just slightly hidden. Just slightly. But FREE accounts are still there and work just fine.

Just take these 3 steps:

  1. Go to the Sign-In page: https://secure.echosign.com/public/login

2. In the Email: field, type in almost anything, such as “billgates@microsoft” or anything, and hit Tab

3. This will bring up Google and Google Apps links.

Just click on the buttons under “Sign in using: Google or Google Apps” — and it will automatically create a FREE account for 5 transactions / month.

If 5 free per month isn’t enough, you can also still use the Twitter integration to get 10 FREE transactions per month.

And better yet, you can later upgrade for unlimited PRO signatures for only $1.99 a month.

That’s a steal.
