Poem for the person who gave me life, shared it, inspired it, and is always a large part of it.

She is the one who brought me into the world

Who loved me in every moment of my life.

I felt connected to her completely

Felt her joy, her pain, her love.

Sharing in everything…

Every heartbreak to every monumental moment

I grew within her, around her, because of her.

Inspiring me from my first memory

Every moment, every day I lived.

When I look back over my life,

I see her, her heart, her love, her spirit

She was the gift from Him,

My guiding light, my teacher and motivator.

God knew what He was doing when He put me in her womb.

He knew we would bond forever, love deep and remain

Our hearts remained as one, always.

Connected through life, kindred spirits and best friends

Wherever she is, I am

Wherever I am, she will always be.

The one person from childhood to where I am now

Embedded in my heart, my soul

Nothing could ever break that bond

No one could break our connected spirit.

My mom, my friend, soulmate

In life and eternity, love never broken.

Grateful for our time, our love, and that she is my mom.
