Making React and Django play well together — the “hybrid app” model
Aymeric Augustin

Thank you very much for writing til article. Especially autoreloading sounds exciting.

Sadly I don´t manage to get the dev-version working.

I get this error:

Django version 2.1, using settings ‘*.settings’
Starting development server at
Quit the server with CONTROL-C.
/Users/*/.virtualenvs/backend-FErIgOFu/lib/python3.7/site-packages/whitenoise/ UserWarning: No directory at: /Users/*/WebDev/DEV/backend/static/
 warnings.warn(u’No directory at: {}’.format(root))
/Users/*/.virtualenvs/backend-FErIgOFu/lib/python3.7/site-packages/whitenoise/ UserWarning: No directory at: /Users/*/WebDev/DEV/frontend/build/root/
 warnings.warn(u’No directory at: {}’.format(root))

I deleted the folders after the production version.

Add-on: If I run collectstatic, the react-app-page shows with autoreloading working 😊 The whitenoise error (frontend/build/root/) in the django-console still being there.

Did I miss something?
