Eurovision Logo Designs

Since 2004, the same logo has been used for the Eurovision Song Contest, with the host nation’s flag being placed within the heart shape in the middle. Furthermore, the name of the host city is added below the logo, followed by the year the city will host the contest.
You can view all the logos used over the years by clicking on the link below, and then clicking on the years beneath the flags of the Eurovision Song Contest participating countries (past and present), starting from 1956.
By using the same logo every year, with only a few additions required (the host nation’s flag, city name and year, as stated above), it must have saved a lot of extra work for the Host Broadcaster of the Eurovision Song Contest. Moreover, the current logo is an ideal representation of the host nation, featuring their flag, host city name, and is a sign of patriotism as discussed in this blog post. However, there is the likelihood that this will not appeal to everyone, as is always the case.
I believe that the heart within the logo is a representation of love, which is regarded as the most powerful emotion, in addition to the most effective life-saving drug as described here.
