2000’s Fashion Trends are Back
Fashion is an everlasting journey. Styles are built to personalize each person's identity. Until this time, in The 20th century, there are so many different styles that come and be each people's favorites. But people are never too bored replaying backward fashion trends. Many Fashion icons were born in the Old-time. They were being trendsetters by owning their look and spreading unique styles. If I have to say some names that were born a trendsetter in the 2000s, many famous names would come into my mind. I would say that Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton is the name that is repeatedly shown in Magazines.
In the 2000s, people were firstly having their Phones. So I would say that the Old phone which has a small screen, and a tiny button is a must-have item at that time and it would be a good accessory for you who are going to recreate the 2000s look.
Back to the present. The ‘Z’ generations love to wear bright color stuff, cute patterns, and mini clothes. It is somehow similar to the 2000s outfit. They tend to be cheerful and young by wearing this kind of outfit. If I could say, The present look gives more bright energy. They are brave enough to mix and match some patterns together with pastels color. Also, don’t forget to put colorful accessories whether in the hair or foot.
While surfing Pinterest , I found a fashion designer who brought back The 2000s look on the runway. Its Sultry Virgin, a brand from Shanghai that showing off the 2000s look at Spring/Summer 2022 collection for Shanghai Fashion Week. As it looks from the picture below, they give baby-girl energy by combining pastels color, mini and low-waisted skirts, and pants.
This trend is not going to get down. While in Korea, a girl band under Ador directed by Min Hee Jin, named NewJeans is making their debut. For me, the 2000s style is a perfect style that describes their concept. It could be retro but retro seems too old and not as bright as what they are shown in Attention’s Music Video (their title track).
That was my point of view. I love that the 2000s style are coming back with more brave ideas and concept. This kind of style might be on my style list later.
Xoxo,
Esa
