So, in this post, we are going to explain what is 2D animation and how
to become a 2D animator? firstly understand what is 2D?

So, 2D is an object or we can say a figure of two dimensions. First-width and
second- height. 2D simply means a plane surface having area. So, I hope it
is clear what is 2D. Now understand what is animation? Animation is a
method in which shape and figure are used to visualize as moving pictures.
As per new technology, images and hand drawing on the transparent sheet
can be photographed and display on film. 2D animation is used in most of
the platform. You can see this on TV Cartoon serials and movies. In a simple
way, we can say that the process of making layout drawing and
photography is converted into movement by the explosion.

2D animation

Nowadays, 2D animation is going so popular because TV shows, mobile
the app, social media, Explainer video games, and feature films are mostly using 2D
animation
.

There are five types of animation

1. Traditional animation
2. 2D animation
3.3D animation
4. Motion graphics
5. Stop motion

So these are the animations that can be used for making animated videos.
So in this post, we are sharing a detailed explanation of the 2D animation.
As you all understand that what is 2D and what is animation now it's time to understand what is “2D animation” ??

It is one of the most popular animations. It is mostly used for marketing
videos, corporate presentation, video games, creating an animated movie,
cartoons and show more. Simply we can say that 2D animation for two
dimensional animation is characterized by character and object created in
the space of two dimensional.

Now let's understand how 2D animation is created and what is the process of making 2D animation. There are three steps we need to follow to make a 2D animation. So let's see

1. So the first process of creating animation or we can say the first stage of
creating animation is “pre-production” as its name says that it is a pre-step
which can be followed to make a whiteboard animation. In this stage, the team develops
all of the content and plan the Characters, Make a storyboard, Select the
color pallet, Record the voice over and make ready the background. This
is the starting stage so it needs to be done properly.

2. Now the second step of the process of creating the animation is
produced. As the name says that it produces the actual product for the
animation. In this process, all the created material gathered together and
build the scenes. This includes making the individual theme and
manufacturing the rough animation, painting, and coloring the drawing with
the assist off of computer software and then export. Join everything
together. The animator fabricates an exposure sheet that comprises all the
orders of how to create each scene.

3. Now the last step of the process of creating 2D animation is to make
scenes with extra sound effects and recordings which expands the inner
impact of the animation. Once the whole process is completed it will
be exported to a different setup.

How to become a 2D animator?

So you want to become a 2D animator? Then you are on the very right path.
Keep it up! If you want to become a 2D animator then you must have to
learn animation skills. So, today animators need to be very professional at
different- different software and also have to sharpen their skills in
the animation field. Most 2D animators use to learn effects and Adobe
Premiere Pro Photoshop and many other apps. They are also skilled in
hand-drawn animation and computer-generated animation. If you want to
become a 2D animator then you must have to be good at drawing not
necessarily at the professional level, but you should have an intermediate
skill level at drawing and the skills you must have to sharpen are the premiere
Pro, the second one is cinema 4D which is also 3D animation software and you also need to learn motion graphics. You can learn these skills through various

paid courses and unpaid courses. You can have a bachelor’s degree in fine
art, computer animation. If you want to sharpen your knowledge then you
can also do a master's of fine arts in animation and visual effects. You can
also opt for a diploma a bachelor’s degree.

Before starting you must know who is a 2D animator and what is the specific
work a 2D animator has to do. You should start with learning key concepts
of 2D animation and you can opt for a bachelor's degree or any diploma or
any professional course in animation. You can also start learning practically
by doing some freelancing on some sites. Best of luck with your future.
