Let’s see…

The word “Animation” is made of (ANIME + ACTION) so ANIME means it contains drawings and action which means the process of making a film with drawings and pictures. So the animation is the process of making an illusion film through photos, figures, and drawings. Or we can say any art that converted into a movement. In simple words, the animation is actually creating a virtual thing approach to movement in any way that is appropriate. Today the whiteboard animation can be done through computer software, and it is a little bit simple as traditional animation. In traditional animation figures and pictures are painted on transparent sheets which were photographed and converted into the illusion. Early cartoons are the best example of animation. Today, animation is mostly seen in video games, TV, serials, movies and so more… These are made with CGI(computer-generated imaginary). I hope it is clear that what is Animation to you. Now understand what are the uses of animations, with this, the topic will be more clear to you. The uses of animation are.

1. IN EDUCATION -

As you all seen that most education uses animation to learn more practically and this will become more helpful to the children to learn through animated pictures. Because graphics and images are very useful to remember the things with the text.

2. IN ENTERTAINMENT -

The most useful place of animation is in Entertainment. Animation is used on your phones and TVs and all over the internet. As we all know that animation is used to inhabit children as it is very useful to keep them entertained for a long period of time by the animated programs such as Tom and Jerry and the animated poems so that they learn through it with interest.

3.IN ADVERTISEMENTS-

To attract the audience animation is the most powerful tool to advertise the product. Animation plays a very important role in advertisement many companies use animation to popular their websites because the audience gets more attracted by the animated pictures and videos.

4. IN SCIENTIFIC VISUALISATION -

The animation used in scientific visualization in a very vast range because it allows creating 3D realistic models that permit diagrams etc. As we all have seen that doctors use x-ray to get an actual look at bones so that the critical issues and problems can be fixed quickly and efficiently.

Let’s understand, what are the types of animation.

There are five types of animation.

1. Traditional animation

Traditional animation is the oldest approach but it still uses nowadays by computer software. The traditional animation is the type of animation which is usually done by hand to draw or painted images on transparent celluloid sheet to be photographed and executed on film.

2. 2D Animation

2D animation is a vector-based animation in which the movement can be direct by the vectors instead of pictures. In vector animation or 2D animation, the mathematical values are used to resize images. So the motion of the movement is smooth and that can be used again and again so the animator doesn’t need to keep painting or drawing the same characters over and over again. You can see the 2D animation in video games, TV serials movies and feature films, etc.

3. 3D animation

This type of animation is the most popular animation nowadays because it is used to make digital characters for video games, short films, TV, and live-action films. It also referred to as CGI (computer-generated imagery). In this, 3D animation is used to fix the character, the animator uses digital puppet and then to define the movement of the character, They use the system of motion paths. 3D animation is totally based upon technical systems and software to model the characters.

4 . Motion graphics

Motion graphics is one of the most popular techniques to create animation. It uses both 2D and 3D for making animation. Motion graphic focuses on creating dynamic and fascinating presentations of moving text logos and primary illustrations. Have you ever seen the explainer videos, TV production, the news, and sporting events? If yes, then you must know that these are motion graphics. The motion graphics can be created by using video editing software and other programs which have different UI settings.

5. Stop motion

So, the last big category of animation is stop motion. It involves manipulating real-world objects. Stop motion has various variants. In Stop motion, the objects are moved moderately and photographed one frame at a time, and these frames make the movement illusion. There are different types of stop motion animation.

1. Claymation

2.lego

3.puppets

4.silhouette

5.pixelation

6. cut-out

So this was all about Animation and its types. I hope you all get it.

Thank you.
