I use WF as my journal, calendar, reminders, everything.

The only options I’d like are for search results: 
– “sort”, something like “sort:AZ” [A-Z] or “sort:ZA” for browser and mobile. 
– “hide parents” option (a search option! not setting toggle!), so that only the bullets from the search appear, with usual “+” option to expand individual bullet.

With these, I could just add the date and time at the beginning of the line, in whatever format I want. Then I could just star or bookmark the search. Date ranges calcs are not needed, since it’s either a progressively narrow search (“2016” “2016-05”, “2016-05-06”) or simply scrolling to the right dates after searching.

I’ve played with BulletJournal format, but currently my dates are just “due:___”. Only WF’s flexibility has allowed me to switch concepts as needed. But I’m a todo.txt convert, so I don’t need or want complicated. My template is at https://workflowy.com/s/BhMOFXH208
