So, what exactly is a low-information diet? Simply put, technology is making our lives more complicated every day.

You have your cell phone ringing; you have your house phone ringing; you have text messages; you have the TV on in the background; you have the radio on. You have all of this up-to-date news; you have Twitter; you have Facebook; you have Reddit; you have Tiktok. You’re getting a lot of e-mails. You’ve set up RSS notifications. You’ve got all this information overload, and it’s just taking up your time.

So, the way I see life, you have 24 hours, and 8 of those hours have already been spent sleeping. And another eight hours have already been devoted to some form of work. So I have a day job, and that’s how I spend my 8 working hours. What about the other eight hours? Work, TV, sleep, work, TV, sleep, work, TV, sleep, work, TV, sleep, work, TV, sleep, sleep, work, work. They get up, go to work, come home, turn on the television, waste all of those hours, and then go to sleep and repeat the process.

So, how do you avoid this and still have fun and live your life while you’re young? If you’re older, you may only have a few years left. How do you distinguish yourself as a human being rather than a machine that ingests all of this data? How do you go about doing that? With new messages arriving every minute…
