On the contrary, you said there is no need to pretend to care for others if integration to America is the goal of that person. That’s an extremely black and white statement that barely even pretended to address what I had originally written. It was, at best, a brusque reduction of the motives of those that reject your views. Your phrasing is what reduced the conversation into categories, as it failed to acknowledge that those seeking integration can and do care about others, even if they don’t help in the ways YOU would want them to.
