DREAMING

I hear a vehicle in the driveway, wonder whose there

Not expecting anyone, should i care

Next i hear the closing of a door

Im curious now, want to know more

I hear footsteps , then the door bell ringing

I get out of bed, its early i hear the birds singing

I open the door and to my delight

Standing there is a beautiful woman, dressed in white

The type of dress that famous people wear

I was silent for a moment, could only stare

I said good morning beautiful and invited her in

I gave her a hug, felt the warmth of her soft skin

The next thing i noticed was the scent of her perfume

Not strong but nice, it lingered about the room

I offer to make her coffee, she says no thank u with a smile

Im only here for a few minutes, just a short while

After a few minutes she said im sorry, i have to go

Others want to see me, i just wanted you to know

We walked to the door, we embraced

I leaned into her body and kissed her face

She said , see u later and walked away

I stood there wondering if she would come by another day

Next i hear the alarm , im awake it was only a dream

I try to fall asleep again to recreate the same scene

Maybe il dream of her again, she makes me smile

Hoping next time she stays more then just a short while

I didnt ask her for a name, so for now she is the woman in white
