We Can’t Put Uber and Lyft Back in the Garage
Nicole Dieker

It isn’t as if Uber and Lyft have existed for the entire duration of the drinking culture of Austin. This is a return to a previous era, not a new frontier. I think that improving public infrastructure — though more expensive and many years from fruition — would be a more equitable and long term solution to protect safety. Also, don’t drink and drive…as DDJJ said, lots of us manage to go out, have fun, and not put anyone in the hospital (or, you could use my solution which is to have a wide collection of pregnant friends who are still willing to go out and will drive!)
