I would argue that this is a bad way to start your venture. Worrying about capital too early on can hinder innovation and take attention away from the things that truly matter like the product and target consumer.

While capital is typically necessary at some point (don’t forget you can always bootstrap), getting locked into a deal with unrealistic expectations will cause stress.

The most important thing to focus on while building your startup is product market fit, once you get closer to it, the capital will flow.
