(Almost) Now Featuring…

Exciting times here at the Etch office! (Today it’s Bar Primi, for those interested). As the summer starts winding down (😢), our trajectory is pointing ⬆, and we’re getting really excited to share our next big release with you: Featured Accounts. We teased it a few weeks back, but now that we’re getting close to launching we figured we could share a few more details.

We like to think that the best thing about Etch is that it’s a closed network, meaning all the places you see have been saved by you and people whose opinions you trust. No random reviews from people whom you know nothing about. However, we realize that sometimes your immediate network might not always have an answer for something you’re looking for, and it might actually help to extend your search beyond just the places you and your friends have saved.

For example, maybe you have a friend with a gluten allergy visiting New York soon, and you want to make sure that wherever you go for dinner will have some great gluten-free options (like, actually great, not just a sad plate of gluten-free pasta and tomato sauce…).

Well, pretty soon Etch can help you with that! We’ve partnered with more than 15 food experts around the country who have created lists of their favorite places just for Etch. Maybe you do have a friend coming to visit you in NYC with a gluten allergy. Well, Gluten-Free Follow Me has you covered! Need to find a vegan option in Bali? (and are we invited??) Never fear, Elsa can recommend a bunch.

All of our Featured Accounts are experts in their fields, and you might even recognize a few of them! Best of all, you can choose who to follow, and add any of their favorites to your own saved places or Collections. We think this will be a great new way to use Etch, and we’re really excited to hear what you think when we roll out Featured Accounts in a couple weeks. Also, if there are any prolific foodie influencers out there who you think would make a great contributor, please let us know and we’ll reach out to see if they’re interested in being featured.

Have a Great Weekend

Keeping it brief this week since we know you’re all eager to start enjoying the last weekend in August.

But don’t worry, it wouldn’t be our weekly newsletter without some kind of dog reference, and because I’m sure no one at all is sick of hearing about it yet, this week we’ve managed to incorporate the eclipse as well. Without further ado, behold as the sun and moon pay tribute to a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Cody. Just a funny coincidence? Or an interstellar message from aliens with an affinity for superfluously named dog breeds? You be the judge.

As always, if you know anyone who might be interested in trying Etch (which you can download here), or even just reading about what we’re up to on a weekly basis, please forward this along using that big “Forward” link below, and encourage them to subscribe.

FORWARD!
