I understand the logic of this, and I won’t argue with someone's opinion. But on a personal level, I disagree. Age ranges have a lot to do with it IMO. As someone who works with children, I don’t believe at the age of five that he could fathom just losing a toy forever because he had thrown them. Clearly, not all children can be taught life lessons through soft means. Sometimes you have to lose things and feel pain or loss to learn. But 5 years old is a little early to have a parent essentially throw away their child’s toys.
