UFC 302 Main Card Predictions
The UFC returns to the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, where lightweight champion Islam Makhachev will be trying to defend his title against lightweight veteran Dustin Poirier. For the co main event, we have two top middleweights, Sean Strickland and Paulo Costa, looking to bang it out in a special 5 rounder. Fun, loudmouthed veteran Kevin Holland will be making his return to middleweight against Michał Oleksiejczuk. There will also be two strong, heavyweight wrestlers who will throw it down in Jailton Almeida and Alexander Romanov. Finally, we have a fun welterweight scrap that will open the card between Randy Brown and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos.
Brown vs Dos Santos
I am picking Randy Brown to win the first fight of this card.
Both fighters are skillfully well-rounded in striking and grappling. However, Randy Brown has the reach, boxing, and distance management to win this fight as those qualities make him favored in this matchup. Brown’s chin is not the best at times and dos Santos is powerful, despite being older. Therefore, I cannot count him out in this matchup.
