100+ Words a Day (24)

I Suck At This

The view from my apartment

Oddly, I started out this post series with intention of writing at least 100 words a day. Now that we’ve decided to abandon the contractor model for the short-term and hire a part-time writer, I’ve been neck-deep in writing content. Never for a job you’ve never done, right? I’m a lot closer to writing 2,000 words a day now, instead of 100. I try to document as much as I can though.

Today I was a guest speaker for the first time at the BOA (Business Outreach Association). It was an awesome experience. At first, I expected myself to speak for only 30 minutes about my experience of co-founding a startup while in college, but the questions kept coming, and it felt great being able to give back a bit to ASU students. I’ve learned a lot so far, and I hope I inspired a few students to believe in themselves enough to do things they don’t feel quite ready for at first.

PubLoft is hiring our first employee.

We’ve grown an average of over 50% MoM in MRR since we started.

We’ve smashed our growth projections last month and this month.

We’re adding SEO to our model.

We’re redesigning the landing page.

Mat is just about the best co-founder in the world.

It’s exactly 1:17 AM and I’m exhausted.

Being a student, running a startup, and building a community from near-scratch is hard…

But I love it and can’t wait to wake up tomorrow and do it all over again.

Thanks for reading.
