Dubai Creek Tower is a hyper-tall tower under construction in Dubai, which will become the world’s tallest tower and tallest man-made masterpiece when completed in 2020 or later.

With the new mega large project, Dubai wants to beat its own label of being the home of the tallest building in the world. Following the completion of the 828meter high Burj Khalifa in 2010, Saudi Arabia began construction of the Jeddah Tower, it will be 1,007 meters high. Dubai’s reply is the Creek Tower. The 75-meter-deep barrettes are already included for its base and the tower is expected to be completed in 2020.

Spanish-Swiss architect Santiago Calatrava Valls has designed Dubai Creek Tower.

His popular works are the World Trade Center Transportation Hub in New York, Turning Torso in Malmo, the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens in Athens.

The Creek Tower design was drawn from the natural form of a lily plant as claimed by Santiago Calatrava. The footprint shape of Burj Khalifa was also inspired by lily.

Cable arrays are the distinctive feature of the Dubai Creek Tower, inspired by the ribbing of lily leaves. The tower to the anchors is connected by these well-built cables that open out on the ground on two sides of the tower, creating the tower more steady and secure to be built to over 1300 meters.

The tower itself looks like a minaret, which is a type of structure that prevailed in Islamic building design.

The tower mainly consists of a slender stem, which serves as the spine of the tower. There is an oval-shaped structure close to the tip of the tower, evoking the bud of lily, the size of bud is much bigger than the stem, this makes the tower look more glorious and significant.

Dubai Creek Tower will be constructed on the ground of the vicinity of Dubai Creek, a waterfront area, near Ras Al Khor National Wildlife Sanctuary.

A great design named Dubai Creek Harbor is being developed there, groups of new buildings will be constructed, Dubai Creek Harbor is hoped to be a new district in Dubai, this district will be three times bigger than the size of Downtown Dubai, Dubai Creek Tower will be the focus of attention of this design.

Definite height of Dubai Creek Tower will not declare by the developer Emaar until its official opening in 2020 or later So that they can prevent its height from being surpassed by other competitive projects.

The son of the architect Santiago Calatrava told the media after Dubai Creek Tower was revealed in February 2016 that the structure will be a notch taller than Burj Khalifa, and some months later, in June 2016, Emaar Properties chairman told the media that the tower would be 100 meters taller than Burj Khalifa, which means it would be 928 meters taller.

In August 2017, a video showed in Dubai Mall provides a hint of the tower height, according to the video, it can be roughly speculated that 8 Dubai Creek Tower stacked on each other will extend 11 kilometers, hence the tower height will be at approximately 1300 meters.

If it actually becomes over 1300 meters tall, then it will turn into the tallest tower and tallest man-made structure in the world.

Dubai Creek Tower will be mostly used for sky gardens or observation decks. And 20 floors will be occupied by hotels and restaurants, and residences. The antenna on the top will be used for broadcasting.

There will be ten observation decks in the interior of the oval-shape structure which is close to the top of the tower, the 360-degree appearance will be offered by observation decks of the cityscape of Dubai from a view of an unmatched height.

The observation decks will be adorned like gardens, inspired by ancient Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

There will be many short rotating platforms that look like balconies set at the margin of the deck. These revolving platforms can carry visitors to an open air space to be entertained by more impressive views.
