Buying/Trading Ether for Dummies

Step 1: Buy Bitcoin

  1. Sign up for Coinbase

2. Link your bank account and verify your identity to increase limits

3. Buy Bitcoin

Step 2: Set up your Ether Walletb

  1. Visit MyEtherWallet Website

2. Type in a Password and Click “Generate”

3. Download the JSON files ( encrypted and unencrypted)

4. Back-up your wallet info

5. To access your wallet, go to View Wallet Info tab, upload your JSON file and type in your Password

Step 3: Exchange Bitcoin for Ether

  • When your Buy Order matches with a Sell Order in the Ask Order Book, your transaction will execute instantly.

Exmo (Int’)

  1. Go to Exmo.com
  2. Create an account, confirm your email and log in
  3. Under Wallet tab, choose a deposit method (USD, EUR, RUB, BTC, etc.)

3. Choose Bitcoin (BTC) then generate a Deposit Address

4. Go to your Bitcoin Wallet and send the amount you wish to trade to the Deposit Address

5. Under Trade tab, choose ETH/BTC

6. Trading

  • Enter the Amount you wish to purchase
  • Enter the rate (Price) you’re willing to trade (you can check Buy Orders book and place your Buy Order slightly higher than the highest price to make your transaction goes faster)
  • When your Buy Order matches with a Sell Order in the Order Book, your transaction will be executed instantly.
