Ether Legends — Forging. Soft -Release Notes
This will be the start to a growing collection of information on the new release of Ether Legends Forging. A new Blockchain crafting mechanic, done autonomously through the Ether Legends DAPP called the Skybox. Here are some notes to help guide you through the forging process and what you may expect or encounter as you start to explore #FORGING… https://skybox.etherlegends.com
- Loading times… Currently, all functions read from the Blockchain to load visualization/data of assets. Please understand it takes a minute for all of your Ether Legends assets to load in the Skybox gallery. For those that go right to forging — please be patient as your data and assets load. Further updates and improvements are being made in the near future to help increase performance from an asset loading capability and overall capacity — enhancing the user experience.
- Pre-approval of all and any asset types… For your first forge of certain card types and Elementeum, forging requires “approval of all” asset types for the first time you forge using that asset type. Similar to Opensea.io, a user will need to approve the sending of that asset type one-time and will expedite the process for future asset types for forging. Continued development is underway to help improve this with gen 1.

IMPORTANT. Check to see if the slider for approval of material is to the left (OFF) or to the right (ON). When you click the switch to the right, a transaction for you to approve the material type (Only done per item type). PLEASE WAIT UNTIL THAT TRANSACTION IS APPROVED AND DO NOT KEEP CLICKING AND GENERATING NEW TRANSACTIONS. Once the TX is approved, it will refresh and show your selection made is now in the “(ON)” or approved state when choosing your material to forge with. see example above.
3. Gas stinks… Gas is going down a bit, but please be cautious. These transactions are NOT free, and gas can make a substantial difference. Exciting for this forging function and all but, the cost of gas has been significantly high lately. Please ask the community to better understand what is acceptable in terms of gas costs (tx fees). 4. Kriptomat Red Dragon forge to Baby Red… This is probably one of the most complex forges due to some additional requirements that other assets do not have. This forge path is being honored but, the team has learned a lot on how to help streamline these parameters for a more seamless forging experience working with our collab partners in the future. This forge of Kriptomat’s Red dragon to make Baby Red requires that you have 25 ENJ or the transaction will be reverted (fail). Additionally, similar to the amulets claim, you have to look up the NFT ID and type it in the available field. There should be a direct link to enjinX.io just like the amulets page / function.
5. Confirmation Images…The call back of the card that is forged (or the picture of the card you get when the forge is complete),— may NOT be correct. Do NOT panic! It is just referencing an incorrect picture. Rest assured the forging is accurate, controlled by the smart contracts and can be double-checked on opensea, or the gallery after some time to verify the asset forged. We are continuing to make updates/fixes as we go, and want to get this in front of everyone in the community to help explore and better understand.
We appreciate the continued patience and support with the release of forging and are asking for participants to take this slow, be cautious, and pay attention to the forging mechanics, and what you are approving. It is STRONGLY advised that you wait for transactions to approve/complete before trying to move ahead of the process. Let us know if you experience any major issues, or have questions and we will do the best we can to address.
