Ethorse project update — April 11, 2018
We are excited to announce that some of the most requested features are now live on Testnet.
- With the Participated races list on the sidebar, users can now view a filtered list of races that they participated in without having to browse through all the past races
- Users can now view the coin they bet on and the amount they bet under the “My Bets” column for each race.
- Users no longer need to refresh the page to see the latest bet amount, odds, etc. It auto updates whenever any user places a bet on the race or when we receive the start/end prices.
- If there is only one user to place a bet in a race, they will be able to claim full refund irrespective of the race outcome.
Thanks to those who participated in our bug bounty, now our contract (verified on Etherscan) is more secure and efficient. Even after including additional functionalities, the gas required for placing a bet has been reduced by 35%. Gas required to claim winnings has also been reduced substantially. Massive performance improvements to the ethorse-bridge have also been implemented. DB schema have been updated and queries have been optimized to improve data fetch speed.
With these updates, we would like to announce that the platform will go live on Mainnet on April 17, 2018, 17:00 GMT. Ethorse team will place bets up to 25 ETH on day 1. Going further, to provide bet liquidity, the team will use its funds to place the bets in an automated fashion. Bets will be randomized to be placed on one coin per race and on a few races every day.
Dividends will start accumulating with this mainnet launch. The first dividend claim period will begin on July 17, 2018 and run for a week. Detailed instructions to claim dividends will be made available before that.
We highly value the comunity feedback. We will continue to receive them and work on providing a best experience with the dApp. Thank you for supporting us. Together we will make the Ethorse project a huge success.
