Today we’ll talk about 4 things:
1) Dice Gene Draw!
2) Game Genes
3) Trading Heroes
4) A really quick update on custom characters

Dice Gene Draw!

On Tuesday April 24th we published the source code of a script relying on the hash of a future block #5503650 (to be mined on Wednesday 25th) to determine the recipients of the Dice gene.

This is the most transparent way to perform the draw, since nobody at all, even us, knew who the winners would be. The block #5503650 was mined, its hash determined, and the script established the recipients of the dice gene!

The lucky winners are:
0x4c608a1377611879ce4f6562b584a4e02c9127cb
0x976b7b7e25e70c569915738d58450092bfad5af7
0xeaa0987ad748c033d01d71ddd87e2d5e1fd80e52

Their selected characters (all of them happened to be custom drawn characters by the way) have already received the ultra rare gene. Congratulations!

Games Genes

Last week when deploying the ERC-721 contract and delivering the heroes, to make it more interesting and to thank the players for their patience, we awarded additional genes randomly on average to 1 out of 3 characters, some even got two. But what are these genes?

These genes will help the heroes to perform better in games and general progression. Let’s have a look at what they do exactly:

Instant merge. When merging heroes for upgrade, why wait? Get the new hero instantly!
Fast merge. Ok, not instantly with this gene. But way faster than usual!
Fast cooldown. When playing mini-games, heroes get tired. Carriers of this gene however recover faster than usual.
Twins likely. There’s always a chance to get twins when merging characters. With this gene the probability is increased.
Born to invest. Investor power is determined by the hero’s level, but this gene makes the effective power 5% higher.
Tough. Even if they hit you hard, they can’t do you much harm. In games involving getting hit with stuff, the received damage is reduced.
Crit power. Sometimes you miss, sometimes you hit, sometimes you crit. Heroes with this gene require a lower roll for a critical hit in games involving hitting others with stuff.

Trading Heroes: Partnership with OpenSea.io

Many of you already know that OpenSea opened its doors to ETH.TOWN ERC-721 heroes! The OpenSea team was very quick to set everything up, it’s a pleasure to work with professionals.

This means that anyone can use the OpenSea marketplace to sell or buy Heroes! Check this out!

We’ve already got some purchases going on. The most interesting one so far was a sale of a Glitchy guy at 0.827 ETH (costs 4.6 ETH now). Woo!

Note: not all custom heroes are shown here!

Quick update on custom characters

Yep, this one will be very quick: absolute most are completed, at last!

Soon we plan to announce more terrific partnerships, which will be both bringing ETH.TOWN to other projects, and other projects into ETH.TOWN, and maybe (maybe) even list all the mini-games coming to ETH.TOWN!

Please stay tuned!
