Dear Crypto Community,
This is an interim update for the ETH.TOWN project. As you would know, ETH.TOWN is an upcoming game on the Ethereum network with MetaMask support. Players strategise in trading apartments and offices in a crypto-affiliated tower and find their way to Investor Heaven, with the help of heroes and mini-games. The game has been in development since November last year by the On5 Games Development Studio, a veteran mobile games developer who has worked with companies such as Samsung, Atari and EA.
As most folks who’s been following us online would know, we have been holding a presale since March 15, a full week now. The response thus far can only be described as OVERWHELMING, and we’re grateful for the huge show of support for the project. In fact, this past Tuesday was a pretty big day for ETH.TOWN and our community.

SUPER HEROES AUCTION
There was an ultra-dramatic fight for Kim. Initially, there was radio silence, but when the action started during the last auction minutes, it was fast and furious indeed! We saw the bid jump from 6.1 ETH to over 15 ETH in a matter of 30 minutes, with higher gas prices helping to close the deal in the end!
It was a good fight all in all, but the eventual victor of the bidding war was Wang Chun, owner of f2pool and long-time blockchain enthusiast. He got an awesome Hero (at a relative discount to eventual expected prices) and the team & community gained confidence in the future of the project. Win-Win all round! 😊

NEW HEROES
Also on Tuesday, 3 NEW Super Heroes were released for the presale. All’s looking slow and steady for sexy Sasha and Pacman for now, but we suspect that just like Kim, the real action will happen just minutes before their auctions end. Come join us online when that happens and watch the action unfold before your eyes. Or better still, place a bid and experience the excitement for yourself!
Now on to the fun part — Mr. Hot Potato! We decided to add a lil’ twist to one of our hero auction mechanics. In a three-day event, bidders of this particular character will have TWO things to look forward to. 1) They get outbid — yes you read that right. In this scenario, they will actually be rewarded with +2% of their original bid value. For instance, if they bid 1 ETH, and a competitor bids 1.08 ETH, they will get 1.02 ETH back!
With just this new tweak, things just went crazy from there! In just 20 minutes from the start of the auction, Hot Potato’s bid price increased from 0.001 ETH to 11.47 ETH, generating 2.65 ETH in profit for the bidders! At the time of writing, the bid stands at 12.39 ETH. With one and a half more days to go, how many more times will the standing bid be overtaken? We can’t wait to know!
DAO HACKER’s FLOOR
The DAO HACKER’s floor was totally SOLD OUT on Tuesday night! O_O We had initially thought that it would take us much longer to reach the cap. But after initial interest gathered momentum, we managed to achieve this feat in just a matter of days! This is even more encouraging given that we decreased the max-per-person cap to 0.5 ETH from 1.0 ETH along the way in an attempt to slow things down a bit.
The team is currently thinking hard about releasing one more floor for presale. It’ll likely be with a much smaller overall cap (i.e., 20 ETH) and a significantly smaller per-pax contribution cap (0.1 ETH), to allow more people who missed out earlier to have their chance in owning some floor assets as well. We’ll keep you posted on the outcome.
LEVEL-9 HEROES AUCTION
The price has slowly risen to 0.3 ETH per character and will now increase by 0.0001 ETH per hero sold. We will still commit to hero customisation requests, but the offer will only be valid for purchases of 10 heroes or more.
CUSTOM HEROES
For those who have made their purchases and sent in their requests, look forward to getting your very own in-game Avatar! We promise you won’t regret it. Now, if we could just ask for just a little bit more patience from the community on this — our graphic artists are all already working doubly hard on them. 😊

WHAT’s NEXT
Alpha launch!
Unfortunately we are getting delayed — just a teeny bit — with the date sliding from late March to early April. Despite the alpha being just an alpha (not even a beta), after the overwhelmingly positive reception of the presale, releasing it in a sub-par condition is not an option for us! We’ll write more info on the alpha preparation progress here.
Also, the team continues to work hard in getting more people to notice the game and/or subscribe to the newsletter, including ICO investors, crypto-traders and other folks who’s never played a crypto game before. We’ll make sure that the ETH.TOWN community gets larger week by week (before your very eyes), and that the project will have bits of what everyone’s looking for when it finally launches!
