The attraction has the distinction of being the only one designed by Walt Disney. In 2007, the attraction was renamed Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer’s Island. Today, in addition to the Disneyland Resort, a version of this beloved attraction exists at Walt Disney World Resort and Tokyo Disneyland.
