OK you guys, let’s be honest. In this era of endless distractions and stimulants, almost everyone is struggling with increased levels of stress and anxiety, having a problem of focusing (of course I’m struggling with these kinds of stuff too, and I assume you three). This is not new, but finding effective ways to manage and alleviate these burdens has become more important than ever. And as you may experience, anxiety or having the flow of endless negative thoughts don’t give you hard times just in your day to day routine, they even follow you in your bed. In my case, I couldn’t fall asleep either for like 30–45 minutes (sometimes one hour) because of these negative thoughts and emotion bombs that pursue them. So, I believe focusing, relaxing and falling asleep will become the most important skills in a few years.

This could be my happy place.

In this article, I will mention Cheepy, how it changed my routine and helped me to transform my daily life. As a short introduction, Cheepy is an ultimate relaxation app that offers a wide range of sounds designed to help you unwind, destress, sleep and regain focus. Let’s dive in!

First things first, before talking about Cheepy, I will share my personal experience in my journey of finding solutions for my effort to release anxiety and my sleeping problem -because I think that you may suffer from similar things- . A few years ago, I was really an anxious person, and due to the tendency of mental health issues to compound with other problems, my anxiety became something of a monster. So, it triggered my depression and they merged as one, and took up more and more space in my life.

After 2 years of doing nothing, I decided to give a chance to well-known scientific solutions such as behavioral therapy, eating well, socializing and doing exercise at least 2–3 times a week. They partially worked. But on the other hand, I realized I could do more to accelerate my healing process (btw I don’t like to use the word ‘healing’ but couldn’t find an alternative). So at this point, I’ve met with meditation. -A brief definition, meditation is all about disconnecting from the world and creating a new one that you can stand on for a while.- Thanks to meditation, you can escape from your endless flow of negative thoughts, and you don’t have to sit on the floor with cross legs, meditation actually gives you a mindset. (I’m aware that it’s not that easy and you have to work on it almost everyday as if it is an exercise of mind.)

Disconnection may seem hard, but you can collect many tools to assist you for this effort. As Andy Puddicombe makes meditation clear with his perfect analogy in Headspace documentary on Netflix, our mind is like a highway and all of the cars are our thoughts. To meditate is simply to sit near to the road and just watch the cars (your thoughts) passing on without engaging with them. So when things get messed up or a stressful thought comes to your mind, you may say ‘’I need to stop thinking that’’. Most of the time, that doesn’t work.

When I first begin my meditation journey, I definitely can not accomplish ‘not engaging with my thoughts’. The more I try, the more I fail. So I tried to look for the tools which can help me and since I was having my EMDR therapy sessions at that time, I decided to listen to the similar sounds while meditating so that I can focus better. (You can think of EMDR therapy as a session in which you focus on your thoughts with bilateral sounds btw). And as a matter of fact, it worked. And it worked very well. However, I found myself constantly having to touch the replay button, which became tedious. I wanted a tool that would allow me to mix and customize sounds as I desired. That’s where Cheepy gets on the stage. It provides me the opportunity to mix sounds to my liking and play them uninterrupted for as long as I need. That’s why I love Cheepy so much.

In addition to relaxation or release anxiety, I use Cheepy also to enhance focus. Whether I’m working on a project, trying to solve an issue that I encounter at work or simply reading a book, Cheepy provides me with a distraction-free environment that allows me to fully immerse myself in the task at hand. The consistent background sounds create a sense of calm and concentration, helping me to stay in the moment and be more productive. It’s amazing how a simple app can transform my environment suddenly and help me stay focused in this world filled with distractions. When it comes to sleeping, I use Cheepy for listening to forest sounds with birds singing. There is something powerful in nature’s sounds. They remind me that I can overcome almost everything and life is much bigger and beautiful than I thought.

Lastly, I can add that beyond my personal anecdotes, scientific evidence also supports the benefits of relaxation and background sounds for managing stress and improving focus. There are tons of studies showing that soothing sounds can lower cortisol levels, reduce heart rate, and promote relaxation, while also providing a consistent audio environment that minimizes disruptions and enhances concentration. So, I highly encourage you to try Cheepy, you will absolutely notice the difference. Download Cheepy today and unlock the full potential of relaxation and focus in your daily life.

And please share your comments with us, what are the sounds that you listen most while trying to relax or focus on something ? Thanks for sparing time!
