I’m a fan of the concepts you highlight here. I’m constantly advocating for the reduction in social media use. I think we’re forming a culture that we’re becoming dependent upon.

I would even go as far to say that it isn’t necessarily beneficial to post the things that you’re proud of. Again, I think that promotes more of the same — please like and react to my stuff,it makes me feel good.

I see friends post about job promotions, graduation, new employment opportunities, how hard they’re working, shoot I even see posts from people after they’ve finished mowing the lawn. They go on to talk about how great it feels to work hard and sweat. It’s like, really? We’ve gotten to the point where we can’t finish household chores or some DIY project without showing the world what a good job we did.

Anyway, I digress. Good post.
