I Am A British Teacher & I Hate Myself
Teacher Of Truth

Thank you for writing this. I found it extremely thought-provoking. As a GCSE student myself, I have often pondered the futility of the arbitrary results and exams that are held up to us as the ‘be all and end all’. So much stress and effort are expended in the pursuit of a letter on a piece of paper, and not enough time and thought go into the development of the creative, thinking, and reasoning skills. Never had I considered that teachers themselves may feel similarly.
