Sign and verify a wallet address with MyEtherWallet

Access MyEtherWallet’s website https://www.myetherwallet.com and scroll down to the footer, selecting the option “Sign Message”. You can also go directly to https://www.myetherwallet.com/signmsg.html.

Signing the payer wallet address by recipient

Step 1: Go to MEW’ “Sign Message” and select your prefered wallet

Step 2: Let’s suppose you use the Ledger Nano S wallet, select it an connect

Step 3: Now you can sign the sender wallet address.
(!) Attention: put the wallet address without leading’ “0x”

Step 4: Copy signature an send it to payer:

Verify the recipient wallet address by payer

Step 1: Go to MEW’ “Sign Message” and select your prefered wallet

Step 2: Let’s suppose you use the MetaMask wallet, select it an connect

Step 3: Click “Verify Message” and copy the signature into input field. Click “Verify Message”

When green area appears, you can transfer the money to the wallet address from signature.
