Completely agree with the statement that you need to try various approaches until you find the one that fits you best. Though to be sticked with some system for at least 30 days might get you really stressed, you need to change system once it brings you a lot of pain.

For example, let’s consider this excerpt from your article “…Pick something important to work on (a task from your most important project, perhaps)…” For now the most important task == hardest task for me is marketing for my product, but as you might know marketing relates to non-scalable tasks, that means you can spend whole the week on trying to get some traction without any sufficient results. And that drains you mentally. It drains you so that you can’t even start working later on the rest of tasks for today.

The possible solution is to start your workday with something you’re sure you can complete or you can reach the important milestone. It gives you some fuel for the rest of the day, it’s like a warm-up before training.

Again as it was mentioned by the author it might work for you or not. You should give a try then decide.
