A little surprised by the reaction here. I mean, it probably should have been titled “guidelines” instead of “rules”. And there will always be exception to any guideline or rule. But it should come as no surprise to anyone that drafting a succesful qb is more art than science. Mike does a good job explaining why each rule is needed, including rules from both Walsh and Parcells, and has the credibility to back it up.
The human element for is a huge factor for a QB, and there will never be a genuine metric to measure all of it. So it’s either follow guidlines like these or just guess.
