Please stop asking ‘Which UX course do you suggest?’

Yes, it would possibly not be much helpful to you, if you approach with that strategy, to find a suitable course or a UX boot camp.

One of my favourite Youtube videos is a brief interview with Richard Feynman, answering the question “What is it? The feeling between those two magnets?” (Please check the video here if you want)

There could be different insights about the video, but what I learned from it was ‘How to ask a proper question to a proper person’.

I want some suggestions about UX/UI design courses.

Tbh, I’ve seen tons of those kinds of questions in online communities every day and really, really want to answer these questions but I can’t.

I just can’t.

Because what you did was throw a giant consultation request to others with no context. If what you’re looking for is just to get loads of comments, it makes sense. However, I’m not sure this is really the best way for you to get what you actually wanted. I’ll tell you why.

We all have different backgrounds, talents, contexts and histories, and so do you.

There is no doubt that you’ll get tons of suggestions regarding various UX design courses, but you should know that the definition of the level and tone of ‘good’ is different for each person. And, not every suggestion fits you because you have your own situation.

Then, to find the exact data you want from the question, you should think about the below before you just toss your huge question mark in the middle of the online space.

1. Why do you search for UX design courses?

2. What skills exactly do the UX designer jobs require that you bookmarked?

3. What aspect should you develop through the course/boot camp?

4. What do you need to further develop/learn to higher a successful job search?

If you can answer these four, then you might already feel that you get nearer to a clearer vision of the conditions that the boot camp/online course should equip for your satisfaction. And that clear vision is what you should also describe with your question.

Find the right person to ask when you ask the question

Now, if you want to be more efficient, I’d suggest asking the question to someone who might have been in a similar context as you or who is in a quite alike condition, so that you can guess if that suggestion would actually fit you or not.

Or, if what you want to know is something that seems to be only answered by someone who is in a totally different level or situation, you should ask the question/advice to that person, not anyone.

You can do it. It’s not even a big deal!

You don’t have to think of this series of procedures as complex or difficult.
It’s only about making something clear and narrowing it down until you can have enough confidence about your plan.

This is just a matter of ‘think and do’, not a matter of ‘your personal capability’.

Be confident, you deserve it. But don’t fall into chaos voluntarily and don’t spread yourself too thin!!💪
