Wow. You’re saying that people may be atheists because their parents did not love them enough? This is insulting on so many levels, but I’ll name two:
No matter how loved people are, this does not take away their capacity to think for themselves and make their own decisions. The relationship with your parents does not determine your view of the world. It is just one of many factors. You’re also using parents as a proxy for all higher powers. Children are perfectly capable of seeing their parents are not superheroes.
You’re exercising religious privilege here. While I don’t have a problem with you having your own view, I don’t like it if you use it to demean other people, in this case atheists and agnostics.
As an atheist with a great relationship with their parents, I’d like you to reconsider thuis sentence.
