Just guessing, but I’m pretty sure the for-cash side would be a small fragment of all projects in the market. Most of what’s done through github is done for “love” or personal interest. But most of all software is done in workplaces, for pay. A github commerce layer might open up or absorb much of that walledgarden and firewalled work. In the other direction, a gitcommerce layer would also bring more of the open source community dynamic and incentives to the enterprise, a blending of interests.
