Here is the answer to the question that everyone asks

Here is exactly how much money Graham Stephan makes with 1 million subscribers, and how much he’s made throughout his entire journey on YouTube

How much a YouTuber makes is really entirely dependent on their ability to run their channel like a business…because, most likely, just making videos and putting a 5-second ad in the very beginning is not enough. And for the majority of the people on the platform, that’s just a drop in the bucket from how much money they can make.

Almost every YouTuber you see on the platform makes money from what’s called Google Adsense. Ad rates can be impacted by the time of the year, how long the video is, the watch time of that video, and whether or not the video contains multiple mid-roll ads versus just one 5-second ad in the very beginning.

Now, in terms of how much they actually make…if they make generic, non-specific “family friendly” content that isn’t targeted around one specific audience…on the low end, they can make about $2-$3 per 1000 views. Now, in terms of how much money Graham makes as a channel with 1 million subscribers…in December, he received almost 7.8 million views and my take-home from that was $129,122.99 in ad revenue.

Another common way to make money is through Sponsorships. This ranges, but with over 1 million subscribers, Sponsors will often pay $4000 — $20,000+ or higher depending on the deal. So, as you can see…the amount a YouTuber can make really starts to add up, especially if every one of their videos is sponsored.

Not to mention — Merch Sales. Some of the larger YouTube merch lines do exceptionally well. They have a recognizable brand, they have a variety of products, and they continually cycle through limited-edition merch to keep you buying…and they can make a lot of money from that. Channels with 1M+ subscribers probably makes around $3k-$10k per month, depending on how much they promote their products.

They also have Affiliate Marketing to make Passive Income This is when they promote a service or a company that isn’t theirs, but, they get a commission every time someone signs up or buys something. Graham made around $20k just from putting a few links down in the description.

You can also sell a program or education, as well. Graham has two programs that he created — one is called The Real Estate Agent Academy, which teaches people how to grow their career as a real estate agent, and the other is The YouTube Creator Academy — which teaches people how to grow their YouTube channel and turn it into a business. For the year of 2019 he made $500 000 profit just from his programs, with no overhead!

And, lastly, YouTubers might have a membership site where they charge a monthly fee for Bonus Content.

How much a YouTuber makes is entirely dependent on how well they run it like a business — and the number of subscribers doesn’t have a direct correlation as to how much money that person is actually making. The YouTubers who are business savvy — who do find a way to branch off and create additional sources of revenue — can make a significant amount of money.
