Dishwasher Tablets & The Looks

Is there a link?

Don’t judge the book by its cover. This is just one of many sayings about the looks. And my favourite. Probably. Not because I agree 100% with it but because it usually leads to discussions.

Do you think the way you look is important? Do you think the appearance of things like furniture, cars, food, plants, clothes, teeth, jewellery etc. is important? For me it definitely is! I care how food is presented to me on the plate, what I wear today, what colour my car is, whether the plants in the garden are nicely shaped and so on. I bet you care about these things too.

If you don’t think that any of these things are important then I think you are just purely lying.

My fiancé was always trying to prove me that he doesn’t care what he wears. He could just have 10 pairs of the same jeans, t-shirts, shoes etc and he would be fine. The other day we bought new dishwasher tablets, instead of ‘Finish’ we bought some other brand but for the same or a very similar price. Guess what my fiancé said when he opened the box and saw the tablets? He said: ‘wtf, they look really cheap’. The person who always tried to prove me that he doesn’t care about the way things look, said THAT! Can you believe? Well, I definitely can’t.

And it made me think that in the 21st century we care about the way things look so much!

Even those DISHWASHER tablets. Crazy. So does the saying ‘Don’t judge the book by its cover’ still fits nowadays? Well, we’d all like to think that we are not being judged by our looks. Maybe not us, but our products (that we produce) for sure i.e. speech, app, presentation, website, customer service & so on. If you don’t like a website, you go on another website, if you don’t like the customer service, you choose another product.

So the morale of the story is the looks are important & we have to stop saying that they don’t matter. This is the number ONE factor why people choose you or your product in the first place.
