Consider Quitting A Valid Option

Admit You Can’t Try For Ever

We’ve been sold on the idea that quitting is not honorable.

That choosing to quit, means you’re weak.

That you’re only defeated if you stop trying.

That quitting is for loosers.

And so on.

Well, guess what:

I’m quitting.

And I couldn’t care less if I’m doomed according to the whole personal development/self-help books section in Barnes & Noble.

I’m bored of keep trying. I’m tired of forcing a square peg into a round hole. I’m done with insisting on doing it in a certain way.

And I’m totally at peace with quitting.

Especially because I know life doesn’t end when you quit. There’s no way something else won’t happen after it.

Existence never stops its creation.

And I want to co-create that something else with Existence!

To be more accurate, I’m more in the process of quitting. Because quitting my friend, is a process.

Although in the spiritual realm (for the lack of a better word) — and in quantum physics — time doesn’t exist as we know it, in the human realm the linearity of time we use to make sense out of «reality», requires for a process to take place.

So, from the moment you recognize a desire until you crystallize it, more often than not there needs to be a process. Otherwise, we might not notice the experience we, as Consciousness, want to experience, to begin with.

But let’s go back to the quitting thing because I’m sincerely hoping and aiming to you giving yourself permission to explore quitting whatever might be overdue in your life.

For you to have an idea of what I’m talking about, so far, I’m considering quitting:
* A way of being
* A style of living
* Some beliefs
* A plan I had (more like several), and
* Few life expectations I had previous to my 50th birthday.

As a lot in my life is shifting, reshaping and morphing right under my feet, I’ve decided to quit and re-create significant plans, my lifestyle, and even some of my dreams.

My personal identity will, of course, be affected along the way. And I’m OK with that. I’m even eager for that to occur.

Yes, the white canvas was frightening at the beginning, but so liberating after I embraced the idea of quitting!

Depending on the distance from which you’ll see me from afar, you might not grasp the magnitude of the life quake. But believe me, this is not a drill.

It’s crucial to accept life invites (sometimes forces) us to reinvent ourselves, as part of the magnificent and beautiful journey of alignment to our individual true essence.

But we tend to overlook the signs and stay focused on the illusions we learned to define as real and logical

Nevertheless, we don’t need to wait until the experience turns critical, but if we choose to do so… the consequences will make themselves unavoidable.

If you intuitively feel that you’re going through anything similar to what I relate, let me give you 3 suggestions that might expedite your process, and lessen the potential pain if you choose to quit:

1. Don’t ask for signs and then ignore them

Train yourself to be attentive. Practice to pay attention as many times as you notice your intuition talking. Most times you’ll be right. Once you’ve listened… take action.

2. Listen to your soul whispers.

They might speak to you through rushes of excitement. Act on them. Excitement is the clearer and more powerful Higher Guidance there is. (you can learn more about excitement visiting TheExcitementMovement.com)

3. Go Beyond appearances.

Don’t stay on the surface. That’s a trap. Dare to challenge the status quo. Question yourself. Question your parents, your religion, your teachers. Dare to be weird, to be rejected, to be invalidated. Believe me, once you see those attacks for what they truly are, you’ll be in awe of how once you stopped yourself because of them.

Your mind might prefer more mental and practical suggestions. Something more clearly doable.

But believe me: after more of three decades of committed self-exploration, and hundreds of people I’ve supported in their journey of transformation, I can say with absolute confidence that massive action without awakening, will keep taking you back to square one, in a never ending loop.

If you feel the call to quit, and you feel honestly at peace with it… don’t doubt that life’s shouting: “Permission granted!
