I’m glad you talked about the labor of artmaking as well as the reticence to embrace the label “creative”. There’s an antipathy for work and people envy effortless seeming accomplishments. I feel like the arts suffer this double hit of rejecting both the identity and the work of making art.

This was a good read. We need more artists.
