Your comments fascinate me because they are such a clear example of bullying behavior, yet you claim to oppose bullying.
Instead of engaging with me in a meaningful dialogue, where you offer constructive criticism, you use names like “segregationist” and write long comments simulating cruel language you aren’t actually able to find examples of. This means that the target of the language being used isn’t Daum, it’s actually me. No one said these things to Daum. Instead you say them to people who want to talk about cultural appropriation, which you deem to be a kind of racism I guess.
But cultural appropriation is not the same as racism: it’s not racial appropriation. There are lots of countries with racial similarities that have huge cultural differences. That’s the case in Europe, for example and that’s also the case when it comes to state identities in the US. As a Texan, there are things that I understand differently than a person raised in California or a person raised in Utah.
Maybe that is why I understand that cultural appropriation has no intrinsic racial component, and you don’t.
This is cultural appropriation:
This is cultural appropriation:
When can we talk about that? What are the rules that you are enforcing about this discussion? Can you explain them or are you only interested in cutting off the discussion completely?
