Craig Morgan

Craig Morgan’s path to country music stardom is anything but ordinary. His remarkable journey took him from the battlefield to the center stage, showcasing the unwavering American spirit and the pursuit of dreams.

Hailing from Kingston Springs, Tennessee, Craig Morgan Greer displayed a deep passion for music from an early age. He honed his musical skills by mastering various instruments and refining his vocals. Yet, before making his mark in the music industry, Morgan answered a different calling — to serve his nation.

In 1986, Morgan enlisted in the United States Army and went on to become a distinguished veteran of Operation Just Cause in Panama and the Gulf War. His military service instilled in him the values of discipline and determination, providing a unique perspective on life that would later inspire his music.

Upon leaving the armed forces, Craig Morgan was determined to chase his musical dreams. He relocated to Nashville, overcoming numerous obstacles to secure a record deal. In 2000, he released his eponymous debut album, which featured the hit single “Something to Write Home About” — a track that gained recognition on country music charts.

However, it was Morgan’s 2005 single “That’s What I Love About Sunday” that propelled him into superstardom. This song became his first number one hit and garnered him the prestigious Song of the Year award from the Country Music Association. Subsequent chart-toppers like “Redneck Yacht Club” and “International Harvester” solidified his place in the country music pantheon.

Watch him perform live alongside G.O.D at Capital One Hall on September 23, 2023 at 8:00p as part of the ongoing Craig Morgan tour.
