Kandace Springs
Nashville-born singer Kandace Springs has gained massive praise for her vocal skills. The jazz and soul singer debuted with a self-titled EP in 2014. She has delivered several hits since then. Her debut full-length album Soul Eyes along with Indigo, The Women Who Raised Me, and the 2022 album Sheba are some of her notable works. Appearances on talk shows such as Late Show with David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel Live! propelled her career even further. Over the years, Springs has collaborated with several popular artists and ensembles including Ghostface Killah, Black Violin, and Lang Lang. Catch the musician live as the Kandace Springs Tour halts in Annapolis on September 14th.
Lucinda Williams
Lucinda Williams found her way into music at a very young age. She was in her twenties when she was already a regular on the Austin and Houston live music scene. Her debut album Ramblin’ on My Mind — a collection of blues and country music covers, hit the shelves in 1979. Within a year she had recorded and released another album — Happy Woman Blues; it comprised her original works. This album brought out her musical range. Williams soon branched out from country and blues into folk and rock. She has delivered several memorable albums and singles in her 4+ decade-long career including the 1998 album Car Wheels on a Gravel Road which first brought her mainstream success. Williams will be live at the Rams Head On Stage on 16th September.
David Benoit
Jazz maestro David Benoit found his beginnings in the music industry as a music director and conductor to actors and singers. His debut album Heavier Than Yesterday was released in 1977. He has delivered several acclaimed works since then including This Side Up, Freedom at Midnight, Waiting for Spring, Shaken Not Stirred, Remembering Christmas, and A Midnight Rendezvous. He has composed the music for several of the screen adaptations of the Peanuts comic strip. The multi-time Grammy Nominee has performed for several dignitaries including presidents, senators, diplomats, and mayors. The David Benoit Tour will be live at the Rams Head On Stage on 10th September.
Brian Culbertson
Brian Culbertson is something of a musical prodigy — he was adept at playing four musical instruments by the time he was in high school. But he didn’t consider music as a career until he was in college. He got together with a group of fellow musicians and students to record a demo tape. This resulted in him acquiring his first record deal. Culbertson debuted with the album Long Night Out in 1994. He has released several successful albums since then including Somethin’ Bout Love, Nice & Slow, Bringing Back the Funk, and Dreams. Brian Culbertson is set to bring his jazz, funk, and R&B sounds to Annapolis on the 18th of September.
