Finding Creative Space: Venues to Share Ideas in
Creative Mornings (CM) is about bringing people together. Bringing people together who want to inspire others with their creative mindsets, who want to share thoughts with others in a similar situation, convey their ups and downs with authenticity. The challenge here, then, is how do you gather people where they can share these ideas, values or experiences? And how do you provide a conducive surrounding to allow them to develop their fullest expression? By finding the right location!
Interview with Nadine Prowaznik
In this interview with Nadine Prowaznik, she gave us a little insight in searching the right locations. To start with, she is an experienced globetrotter, so she knows a thing or two about new environments. At the very time she took over Creative Mornings in Cologne two years ago, she had actually decided to move to Hong Kong. Impossible to manage, you think?
Not for her: she managed to organize the events from Hong Kong and commuted for some events to Cologne. Furthermore, she is being supported by a well-structured team that is able to work independently, but also as a strong collective unit. That’s what I call a talent for organization!
Finding creative space
Back then it was quite hard to find locations, as CM was not as established as it is today. That’s why many events took place at Veedelswerk, Nadine’s company, which helped a lot as a location backup. However, over the last two years it got easier and easier for her to arrange locations. This was because speakers and agencies started to suggest ideas for locations, or even provide the locations themselves. That was incredibly helpful in planning the events in advance, facilitating her life abroad and allowing her to plan as far ahead as next January. Planning half a year into the future — what could be more German than that?
