“Would you describe it as complex or complicated?”

I describe it as brief and cryptic. I spent a few days reducing a 2-hour screed to a 2-minute read.

“Without us looking in the mirror and winding in our intellectual necks, that cannot end well.”

Since the Enlightenment, it seems education in the logical realm (science, engineering, and technology) has been emphasized with a little progress in the aesthetic realm and almost none in the ethical realm. But rather than “winding in our intellectual necks,” I propose bringing aesthetics and ethics up to speed. In any event, balance is needed.
