This article resonates with me on so many levels. I’ve recently started meditating every morning for 10 minutes and it has made a world of difference. I’ve longed for a time when I can hyperfocus on projects and start and finish something in the same day. Free from distraction. I plan to get an App to cut off my social media on my phone and computer so that I can work in an uninterrupted manner.
Looking back at all the tools and techniques that I've developed over the years as a writer, it occurs to me that most of them are, in one way or another, grappling with two critical mental forces: the power (and weakness) of human memory, and the sometimes overwhelming drive to procrastinate.
