Nike Stands Behind Colin Kaepernick

Malcom X said it best,
"A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything."
He would be proud of our boy Kaepernick. There isn’t a higher badge of honor that can describe the sacrifice this man has made.
There’s levels to this. You have individuals who fight a good fight, but eventually give in, you have those whose opinions never level up with their actions, and then you have Kaepernick. How many teams slammed the door in his face? How many people close to him told him he should stop while he’s ahead? How many bystanders suggested he not jeporadize his career? Yet and still, he would not be quiet.
It’s now been two years of protesting brutality and oppression of people of color. Almost exactly two years to this date of Sept. 1, 2016 he tradmarked kneeling on the sideline alongside Eric Reid and the story spread like wild fire. Kaepernick was one the most popular quaterbacks and is now a free agent. How?
But, guess what? Great things truly comes to those who wait. Kaepernick will be taking his grievance case to trial with sufficient evidence to support his claims against the NFL. Kaepernick has landed a position with Nike as the face of their 30th anniversary “Just Do It” campaign. We must applaud Nike for taking on this beautiful baggage and allowing Kaepernick’s voice to shine through this campaign. Business move or not, it was still a risk Nike didn’t have to take or bother with. But they did. Maybe more corporations will be willing to stand up.
"Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything." #JustDoIt
The power within this statement is enough said.
Kudos to a man that carried the weight of the world on his shoulders and still came up on top.
