Samsung’s Galaxy S9 will be in the spotlight February 25 and we have come to know so far that it’s going to be a minor upgrade from the S8. A better positioned fingerprint sensor and a new top of the line silicone is pretty much what we are getting this year, there’s not much of a design change. Which brings us to the next big flagship in line, the Galaxy Note 9. Although we have heard rumors that the Note 9 will also be another boring device, there are some facts that we can clinch on which makes the Note a serious device to reckon. The Note 9 will come with a refined design with some nifty features although an in-display fingerprint sensor might not be in the cards yet. Now taking a look at the concept renders for the device, we see an entirely curved display upfront, an in-display fingerprint sensor and a new camera sensor module, making this a cleaner Note than before.

A few notes on the specs:

  • Exynos Octa-Core, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855
  • 6GB, 64GB version or 8GB, 128 or 256GB variants
  • 2K (18.5:9 aspect ratio)
  • Camera, Primary: 16 Megapixel Dual lens camera, 50mm and 28mm lens with f/1.7 aperture and OIS. Secondary: 12 Megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture and OIS.
  • 4800mAh battery rumored
  • In-display fingerprint sensor, IRIS scanner
  • IP68 Water and Dust resistance, Wireless Charging

The Note 9 might offer a lot in terms of specs and features, but as per new leaks, this will come at a premium with prices going as high as $900. For serious fans, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 expected release date is September 2018 which might be a long wait for some but considering it packs in a serious punch, the wait is worthwhile.
