There are some places you just shouldn’t have gone in this article, particularly New Zealand maori culture and Australia. You obviously have no understanding of what a melting pot we are. Some of the ‘white guys’ you refer to would be so offended, because they identify with their Maori ancestors, regardless of whether the said White Guy was living in Australia or New Zealand. (You do know Maori’s are in New Zealand don’t you?). Yes cultural appropriation is an issue, all countries have been dealing with in some way recently.

Tricky thing is there will be no blanket answer. I love African fashion, but I’m too shy to wear it, however I think it would be fantastic to see it over take the fashion industry from the US, for a whole bunch of reasons. We’d end up with a bigger size range for starters, and colour, colour, colour… What’s not to want?
