Hi Tony,
I’m a recent subscriber, and I enjoy your writing and information. My question regards the mental slavery of racism, how do you change several hundred years of brainwashing? I have been doing my own research as to why the majority of Blacks are not more successful today. They were many years ago when the climate of racism was more overt and dangerous. Over and above institutional racism, bigotry, and bias; mental slavery was the reason most discussed by writers and researchers.
“. . .black people took their pain and pushed it into a deep space where it stayed behind every thought, perception, hope and fear. And how you did this until it became an inseparable part of you, like a psychological shadow cast by the cold fucked-up light of the world” — Gary Hardwicke, “Color of Justice.” This quote expresses the thought of mental slavery so well for me.
